Shopping Fun in the 2 Department Stores In Florence

From time to time we all visit some Department Stores in our hometown and in all the places we visit. Let’s admit it! Personally, I just love them because it’s a relaxing and practical way of doing our shopping. And it can be fun, too! To be honest, I sometimes do not even have shopping there, and when I’m not working on someone’s shopping researches  I just enjoy exploring and making a mental list of what I like and am willing to buy as a present to pamper myself just a little!

I also like visiting Department Stores when I’m abroad or in another city in Italy. I do think it’s a great way to get in contact with the city itself, by observing the shopping habits of the people living there!
Where do we find the Department Stores in Florence? Basically, we have only two of them, but they are super chic and interesting to see. Let’s see why!

La Rinascente, a Department Store with a View

La Rinascente is a department store where one would certainly go for an average shopping session, but this amazing place also is perfect to enjoy some free time in it. This is because their format, that is common to the other La Rinascente stores in Italy, is genuinely captivating and engaging.

I’m a lover of their ground floor displays and visual concept. It is extraordinary to lose yourself in the fragrances from so many beauty brands and trying all the handbags and accessories you can in the exposition. It always reminds me of the time I was in UK many years ago and used to go to places just like this with a friend and had fun trying everything on! We didn’t have anything similar in Florence at that time!

Why La Rinascente is so cute

I obviously like their fashion shop in shops, but they have so much more than this. In fact, you shouldn’t miss a visit to the fourth floor that is dedicated to a great food selection, and it’s a nice opportunity for trying new products or to find some nice presents. Note that most of the products cannot be found in your average grocery store…

Another very good reason to visit La Rinascente is their Terrazza, that is a bar with a charming view over the center of Florence, don’t miss it in Spring and Summer.

Coin, the Department Store that Makes you Feel Good

Coin is a Department Store that you can find in the very heart of Florence, not far from Piazza del Duomo. There is something in particular that I’ve always appreciated in this place, and it’s their great accessories selection. In my opinion they have always been particularly strong in this. This is even the first aspect that I think of when reminded of Coin in Florence!
At the ground floor you will surely appreciate the beauty and fragrances displays, whose brands are quite mixed, so that everyone will find their favorite kind of product.

Why Coin is so special 

I have to say that its interiors are one of the most enjoyable aspects of the shopping experience here.
This is because in my opinion it is very important to actually  feel good inside a shopping center thanks to its architecture, and I really do think this is a great reason to fall in love with the Coin store in Florence!
Keep in mind that they have some very good services, as, for instance, the beauty room (on appointment), and the shirt monogram service.

Di tanto in tanto tutti andiamo nei Department Store nella nostra città o nei posti che visitiamo. Ammettiamolo! Personalmente, io li adoro perchè è un’attività rilassante ed è anche un modo molto prativo per trovare tutto ciò che ti serve.
Oltretutto può essere un’esperienza anche molto coinvolgente! Per essere onesta, io ci vado anche fuori dal lavoro  e delle volte nemmeno per comprare, o per un bisogno, semplicemente mi piace passeggiare, esplorare i vari settori, e fare liste mentali di ciò che mi colpisce e che mi comprerò in un secondo momento come autoregalo, quando avrò bisogno di premiarmi!

Mi piace visitare i Department Store anche quando sono in viaggio all’estero oppure nelle altre città d’italia. Ho sempre pensato fosse un bel modo per entrare in sintonia con una città che non conosciamo attraverso l’osservazione delle abitudini e dei gusti delle persone!

Ma quali sono i Department Store a Firenze? Di base ne abbiamo due, ma sono super chic e interessanti da visitare. Vediamo perché!

La Rinascente, un Department Store con Vista

La Rinascente è un Department Store dove certamente ti rechi per fare shopping, ma secondo me è perfetto anche “solo” per passare il tempo. Sono seria. Infatti, il suo format, analogo a quelli delle altre città d’Italia, è davvero accattivante e coinvolgente.

Sono in particolare un’appassionata dei concept dei loro stand e display del piano terra. È straordinario perdersi (a volte letteralmente!) fra le fragranze di così tanti brand di beauty e provare tutte le borse e gli accessori che ti colpiscono e che trovi esposti.

Tutte le volte che ci vado mi ricorda di quando, da ragazzina, ero nel regno unito e passavo I pomeriggi in posti così con un’amica, divertendomi a provare l cose più strane! All’epoca a Firenze non esistevano o quasi realtà simili.

Perchè La Rinascente è speciale

Mi piacciono le loro selezioni moda, ma credo che abbiamo molto più di questo. Infatti, non dovreste perdervi una visita al quarto piano, la sezione dedicata al food. È sempre una buona opportunità per provare nuovi prodotti e anche trovare regali un po’ più particolari. Notare che la maggior parte della selezione food non è che si possa proprio trovare nei negozi normali!

Un altro valido motivo per andare alla Rinascente è la Terrazza, che è il loro bar con un’affascinante vista sul centro di Firenze, non perdetevela in primavera ed estate.

Coin, il Department Store che ti fa sentire bene

Coin è un Department Store che si trova proprio nel pieno del centro di Firenze, non lontano da Piazza del Duomo. Un aspetto in particolare che ho sempre apprezzato di questo posto è la loro sempre bellissima selezione di accessori. Secondo me anzi sono sempre stati molto forti in questo aspetto, e sempre molto up to date con le tendenze. Addirittura questo è il primo aspetto che mi viene in mente quado penso alla Coin di Firenze!

Al piano terra apprezzerete di sicuro la selezione beauty e fragranze, che è molto mista, quindi chiunque troverà il suo tipo di prodotto preferito nella fascia più opportuna.
Devo dire che uno degli aspetti più piacevoli di questo posto è il palazzo stesso e i suoi interni.
Questo perché, secondo me, è molto importante sentirsi davvero bene in un centro dedicato allo shopping, e questo quando avviene è grazie alla sua architettura e per l’appunto è uno dei motivi per cui ci si innamora di questo Coin fiorentino.
