Florence is Ready! A Female Artist Exhibition to Visit

Last week I attended the press presentation of the exhibition ‘The Greatness of the Universe’ in the art of Giovanna Garzoni held in Palazzo Pitti, Florence. I decided to write about it. The main reason is the fact that I want you to know that in Florence we are ready to welcome the visitors from all […]

5 Female Instagram Influencers that I Find Outstanding

Instagram is a world apart and I really love it. Not only because I can keep in touch with my influencer friends and journalists, or because I find all the news about my favorite tennis players, but also because I really love the visuals that most instagrammers create and I like discovering their vision through […]

Fashion Blogger over 40: A Talk with D.C.M.A.F.B.

I started following Selvaggia some months ago. I think her blog is very intersting, as she’s one of the few over 40 fashion and lifestyle influencers around. I personally like her creative and sassy approach to outfits and everyday life, so I decided that all of us could be inspired by her personal view on […]

The Time is Now! A IED Students’ Sustainable Project

I went to Pitti Uomo some days ago, and it was very interesting, as always. I love watching the new trends. But this time I want to talk about a project that is very important for all of us. IED, Istituto Europeo di Design, has joined with Greenpeace to create some menswear collections. Let’s see how the students are doing it!  testo in italiano dopo le immagini 6 Collections for 6 Different Personalities  There will be six different capsule collections. They will be designed thinking about six different fashion personalities as well as about six lifestyles. I find it exciting to think that the IED students will have to conceive this, because I bet it has to be based on an actual very good rsearch about trends and sociology!  Anyway, creating six collections will definitely make this project very much alive.  Why the Collections need to be Beautiful  What really inspired me about it was the fact that IED and Greenpeace promoters clearly stated that the items not only have to be functional, but also beautiful. This is a great way to make you want to wear them and most of all, it will make you want to show them. In this case, showing off isn’t only a narcissistic attitude. It is more about being recognized as part of a group of people that care about the environment. It is about sharing you view and […]

new year eve style tips NYE

Three Last Second Style Tips for your NYE Party Looks

Every year we have to ponder our options for the NYE outfit. We have two choices: wearing something we already have, or going out and buy something. In the first situation, we must hope that these clothes have been well kept and still are fashionable. In the second one, we might be able to find the perfect dress, but chances are that we might not make it. So I decided to give you some last second style tips for this occasion. I also decided to divide them into three different parties you may want to take part: the house dinner party, the informal house party, the NYE Ball at a Villa (or at a fancy restaurant, you get me). testo in italiano in fondo Style tips for your NYE House Dinner Party  Whatever you want to do, you should be aware that it would not be polite to exaggerate with the style of your outfit. Wearing a “gran gala” dress would not be appropriate! You should try to wear something elegant but toning it a little bit […]
