People who know me well also know that I am madly in love with having aperitivo at Empireo Bar at Plaza Lucchesi Hotel in Florence. It is an experience I would never miss for any reason, because I love the unique view that is one of the best in Florence, and I enjoy their whenever I can.
So I would recommend it anyway, but this time there’s a particular reason why I’m doing it, and it’s because of the Florence Factory Shop. It’ s a studio-shop dedicated to craftmanship in Florence – and great food experiences.
Craftmanship and Workshops
Florence Factory Shop is not only about the products, because there are going to be workshops and demonstrations about the art of creating beautiful objects, so that the people can get to know and interact with the culture of the excellences. The agenda is interesting as there are going to be three meetings with the crafters every week.
It’s going to start tomorrow, on May 27th at 7pm, and go on for some months.
Food and music with a view
But let’s talk about again the first topic: food. I really think you should see the summer program of Empireo, because thanks to this exhibit there are going to be many beautiful events, besides with great live music. In fact in a few days (as this part of the program is not ready yet, at the moment) at the hotel’s restaurant, terrace and bar visitors and clients will be able to taste local hand-crafted Tuscan food productions in many appetizing menus, wines from local varietals and great Tuscan olive oils.
This part of the project was conceived in partnership with Mitaly Consortium, for the promotion of high quality Italian food in the USA.

Dove trovare un aperitivo con vista e dei deliziosi menu toscani!
Chi mi conosce sa che amo alla follia gli aperitivi all’Empireo all’Hotel Plaza Lucchesi. Si tratta davvero di qualcosa di cui non mi proverei mai, perché mi piace la vista, unica in tutta Firenze, e ci vado ogni volta che posso.
Non solo ve lo consiglierei comunque, ma a questo giro ho un motivo in più per consigliarvelo, ed è il Florence Factory Shop. Si tratta di uno studio-shop dedicato all’alto artigianato fiorentino.
Artigianato e workshop
Ma non è solo uno shop, ci saranno anche workshop e dimostrazioni con gli artigiani, per permettere al pubblico di conoscere e interagire con la cultura delle eccellenze produttive di Firenze. Il calendario è molto serrato, perché in programma ci saranno 3 incontri con gli artigiani a settimana.
Si parte domani, il 27 maggio alle ore 19, per continuare per alcuni mesi.
Food e musica live con vista
Ma torniamo al punto iniziale: il food. Dovete assolutamente prendere il programma estivo dell’Empireo, perché grazie a questa rassegna oltre alla musica ci saranno eventi e workshop, fra l’altro con musica live per tutti i gusti. Ci saranno degustazioni di food toscano sia al bar che al ristorante che all’Empireo, con produttori locali di qualità.
Fra una decina di giorni sarà possibile degustare, in tutti questi ambienti, i vini di vitigni autoctoni, olio toscano, alcuni menu degustazione studiati appositamente per l’hotel.
Quest’ultima parte del progetto è stata concepita insieme a Mitaly Consortium, che si occupa di esportare food artigianale di qualità negli USA.
