What to Do and Where to Eat in Lucera

Lucera is a beautiful city I visited during a press trip in Puglia. When I decided to go, I also decided that I did not want to receive any preview about the destination, because I actually  wanted to be surprised by it. Lucera was anoter one of the great discoveries I was happy to make!
In fact I was very positively impressed by its beauty and by the many interesting places you can visit.  I also enjoyed the simple fact of walking through its streets and exploring. I also adored visiting the archeological sites. I found that every places I visited was well organized and I this is one of the most important reasons why I can say that I spent a great day there.

Why Lucera was a great destination 

One of the most important aspects of this blog is about writing about such destinations as those that allow you to directly living the experiences without having to “translate” them you’re your habits. This was the case, so I’m totally happy of my visit and also happy to be able to write about it. This is why I strongly recommend it in this article!

It was a day in which I was back into my element, that is the city life. Also, Lucera is definitely beautiful and a perfect destination for those who usually travel solo, just like me, because you’ll find many places to visit and you can also have great food.

My Lunch at N8 Lounge Bar 

I loved this restaurant in the central area of Lucera because it’s modern and cool just like I like the places where i go to. It’s just in the standards I usually write about. So it was a very good choice!

We’ve been there for lunch. We originally intended it to be a light lunch but then we were so lucky to taste some of their best specialties instead! so it was just wonderful.  The wine was amazing, too.

I can say I spent some very good time there, resting and eating good dishes. I especially loved the care they put in the presentation of food andthe combinations that are always original, because they always take into consideration the local, typical versions and ingredients when it’s about preparing a dish.

Of course we start by the food! But here you’ll find some pics of Lucera from some of the monuments and archeological sites. I bet you’ll enjoy a walk through these beautiful alleys and surprisingly beautiful central avenues.

Lucera è una bellissima città che ho visitato durante un press tour in Puglia. Non sapevo cosa aspettarmi perché quando viaggio a volte preferisco non sapere in anticipo cosa troverò, e devo dire che mi ha fatto un’impressione davvero positiva!  Mi è piaciuto tutto, sin dal momento in cui ho iniziato a passeggiare per le strade semplicemente esplorando a quando ho visitato i siti archeologici. Tutto quanto ho visitato era perfettamente organizzato oltre che interessante, per cui ho passato una giornata decisamente molto bella.

Perchè penso che Lucera sia un’ottima destinazione

Uno degli aspetti più importanti di questo blog è il fatto che le destinazioni di cui parlare vengano scelte in base al fatto che secondo me l’esperienza che si vive in questi posti deve essere il più possibile “diretta” e non mediata. Significa che in una destinazione devi essere in grado di vivere la city life di un luogo senza che vi sia bisogno di “tradurla”, cioè di fare ciò che faresti normalmente o in qualsiasi altro luogo che visiti ma con un linguaggio universale, o per lo meno internazionale. Questo è stato il caso di Lucera. Infatti sono ultra felice di averla visitata e non vedevo l’ora di parlane!

Durante questa visita mi sono davvero sentita nel mio elemento, cioè la vita cittadina. Oltre a ciò, Lucera è davvero bella, ed è un’ottima destinazione per chi viaggia da solo, esattamente come faccio solitamente io, perché c’è l’opportunità di fare molte visite a luoghi di interesse, non annoiandosi  mai, e di sperimentare un ottimo lunch perfettamente accessibile anche per chi viaggia in solitudine.

Lunch al N8 Lounge Bar

L’esperienza di questo lounge bar mi è decisamente piaciuta perchè è un posto moderno ed elegante esattamente come molti dei posti di cui ho scritto in passato. Non solo è nello stile giusto, ma incontra anche tutti gli standard che cerco. Quindi è stata davvero un’ottima scelta!

Ci sono stata per un lunch, che doveva essere un light lunch ma che si è trasformato in qualcosa di diverso! Siamo stati però molto fortunati, perchè in questo modo abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di provare molte più specialità locali del previsto! Quindi abbiamo avuto un’esperienza ottima. Con in più un vino che era un abbinamento perfetto!

Abbiamo passato un bel po’ di tempo in questo posto, approfittandone oltretutto per riposarci dalle visite più culturali, e assaggiando dell’ottimo cibo. Devo dire che ho amato molto la cura nell’impiattamento e nella presentazione delle portate. Le combinazioni sono sempre state originali o di tendenza, e ho apprezzato il fatto che nella preparazione si sia sempre cercato delle varianti nei prodotti locali.

Credo che l’unicità passi anche per questo.
