As a blogger, whenever I chose to follow the moves of a brand or a product whenever they go, this decision always brings me in extraordinary places and situations, and it is always a great discovery.
The magic happened one more time. I decided to accept the invitation from Ditta Artigianale to go and taste their latest coffee blends at Villa Cora, so that I could also experience their superb brunch.
I am very glad to tell my experience to my readers and clients, because they always ask for suggestions about what to do in Florence  – and this truly was a spectacular event in which I felt being surrounded by an amazing view and location, and it goes beyond the traditional Italian lifestyle.

 

What I discovered and what I loved the most

Villa Cora during the latest years developed a great renewal of its image and services thanks to a young and smart management with a very  dynamic and modern attitude and style.
I had the opportunity to visit all the parts of the structure and I was astounded. Not only for the beauty of the place and the view, but also and expecially for the elegance of every single part of the Villa. The brunch itself was really surprising, as it is impredictably  luxurious and delightful. The buffet table presentations are uncommon and elegant, also is the creativity of the appearence and the high quality of the food.

 

The Coffee Blends from very very far away

Ditta Artigianale is going to be represented in this stunning brunch with their selected coffee blends, and I was able to taste the latest ones. I like in particular Red Bourbon, with its dark chocolate and cherry aroma. We could say it may remind you of  a “luxury” coffe version of a famous Italian chocolate, BUT there’s so much more to say about it; in fact, this outcome is the result of many factors, and the most important one is the research made by Francesco Sanapo. This coffe was born in a plot that was cultivated by many generations of the same family, in a traditional way. This great coffee comes from this unique plantation.

But… does this incredible place really exist? And where is it?

Villa Cora’s crew is really extraordinary, very attentive to any need of the clients, so you are going  to feel surrounded by a very romantic and fascinating but in a very contemporary style and preparation.
the Villa’s location is amazing: it is inside a hundreds of years old park that overlooks the Boboli Garden, by the hills, but very near to the historical centre of Florence.

 

Some Historical Facts and some Time Travel

Villa Cora was created as an aristocratic residence; it was designed at the end of the nineteenth century and it was commissioned by  baron Oppenheim and it represents the style of that era with its splendid architectural and décor eclectic elements, so that we see so many multifarious styles in it, and the result is a bizarre but amazingly balanced harmony and a stunning sight.

In more than one moment is reminded me of another beautiful palace, the glorious Castello di Sammezzano. Just try to imagine the Villa’s awesomess!
The Villa was inaugurated in the era when Florence was the capital of Italy; hosted Claude Debussy and many other celebrities, and it used to be considered one of the most beautiful residences in Florence.

Now that I think about that, this is not the first time that we talk about this amazing era, do you remember?

Come ho seguito il caffè – e ho trovato un romantico brunch fin de siécle

Come blogger, so che a volte seguire un brand o un prodotto ci conduce in luoghi straordinari, e non me ne sono mai pentita. Così è stato anche stavolta. Ho seguito l’invito di Ditta Artigianale a andare a degustare le loro ultime miscele a Villa Cora, in modo da provare anche il loro meraviglioso brunch. Come dico spesso, scrivere di queste cose è un’occasione per dare una dritta ai miei clienti e ai miei lettori per un’esperienza davvero magica immersi in un angolo di Firenze spettacolare, in una location stupenda, ma che va oltre la tradizione del lifestyle italiano.

 

 

Quello che ho scoperto e come me ne sono innamorata

Villa Cora si è rinnovata molto grazie a un management giovane con un attitudine molto moderna. Ho avuto l’occasione di visitare tutto l’hotel e ne sono rimasta ammaliata. Non solo per la vista, data la posizione, ma anche e soprattutto per la bellezza de palazzo e del parco. Il brunch è stato sorprendente, e la cosa fantastica è che è estremamente vario e anche divertente. La presentazione è fuori dal comune, ma anche la creatività e la qualità del cibo.

 

I caffè da molto, molto lontano

Ditta Artigianale sarà presente con i propri caffè pregiati, e come anticipato ho potuto assaggiare quelli più nuovi, ho adorato in particolare Red Bourbon, con i suoi aromi di cioccolato e ciliegia. Potrebbe in un certo senso ricordare la versione raffinata dei sentori di un famoso cioccolatino, ma con una storia straordinaria dalla sua: questo caffè nasce da un terreno  che da generazioni viene coltivato  da una famiglia, in modo del tutto indipendente e con modalità naturali e tradizionali. Una piantagione unica, e il risultato è questo caffè, che è qualcosa di davvero straordinario!

 

Ma… un posto così da sogno esiste davvero? E dove si trova?

Villa Cora ha un personale eccezionale, molto attento a ogni bisogno dei frequentatori, e sarete immersi in un’atmosfera d’altri tempi ma con un’attitudine assolutamente contemporanea.
Non dimentichiamo la posizione: la residenza sorge all’interno di un parco secolare che si trova proprio sopra  il Giardino di Boboli, in zona collinare ma vicinissimo al centro storico di Firenze.

 

Un po’ di storia – e un breve viaggio indietro nel tempo

Villa Cora nacque come residenza aristocratica, fu progettata alla fine del secolo diciannovesimo  su commissione del barone Oppenheim e si ascrive nella tradizione del periodo con elementi di forte eclettismo architettonico e decorativo, vi risulta quindi la presenza di molti stili diversi, che insieme creano un ambiente straordinario. In certi momenti mi è quasi sembrato di essere in una location altrettanto meravigliosa, il Castello di Sammezzano. Questo per dirvi l’atmosfera quasi artistica e il suo livello di bellezza.
Venne inaugurata durante il periodo di Firenze capitale, ha ospitato fra le molte personalità Claude Debussy, ed era considerata una delle residenze  più belle di Firenze. Ora che ci penso, non è la prima volta che parliamo di questa epoca meravigliosa, ricordate?
