Ditta Artigianale: Night & Day in ‘50’s Style!

Some weeks ago I attended the press conference and launch  of a new place in town. This is just a short post that I write because I want to recommend it: it is the second opening of Ditta Artigianale. I wrote about their first opening last year, and now I just was to the press launch in another part of the city.
A different place, different style. It is like a grown up version of the first one, with a different and evolved concept and a great interior styling.

Architecture and Interior design mean a lot

The mood is all about the Fifties – not the sickening, innatural Fifties mood that we usually see on tv, that reminds me of the Lucy Convention parody from “The Rat Race”!
These are the elegant, classy, design oriented fifties – in a fifties palace in Florence. The interiors are just amazingly designed and decorated with authentic pieces of furniture from that era.

Great food in the day and dj set nights

The dishes are area little bit more sophisticated than those served in the cafeteria in v. de’ Neri, so this makes of it a good place for lunch; the ambition is being a point of reference for a luxury shopping area and the Florentine nightlife, with a great attention to the cocktails,  while dj set nights are going  to take place.
During the presentation  I was able to taste some of the new food proposals. The tendency is about offering small portions of everything on the menu, so that the clients have the opportunity to taste several different dishes during a meal. But don’t let this fool you; it’s definitely not a tapas restaurant, the aim is more like a tasting experience mission.
You know this article is absolutely honest because I’ve followed Francesco Sanapo in his food and coffee adventures for a long time – as I am a coffe lover, as you already know.

Alcune settimane fa  ho partecipato alla conferenza stampa e al lancio di un locale che all’epoca stava aprendo. So che è passato del tempo, e mi dispiace di non averlo scritto prima, fra il lancio del nuovo sito e impegni lavorativi, ma comunque non posso non scrivere un breve post per consigliarvelo: è la seconda apertura di Ditta Artigianale a Firenze.
Avevo già scritto della loro prima aperture l’anno scorso, e adesso voglio scrivere del giorno in cui sono stata alla conferenza stampa di questo opening in un’altra parte della città. Si tratta di un luogo diverso, ma anche di uno stile diverso rispetto al primo locale, con un concept più evoluto ed un interior styling eccezionale.

L’architettura e il design di un locale

Il mood è decisamente anni cinquanta – ma non gli anni cinquanta dolciastri e innaturali che vediamo in certa tv, e che mi ricorda la parodia della Convention di I Love Lucy in “The Rat Race”! questi sono gli anni 50 eleganti, di gran classe e orientati al design – in un palazzo fiorentino costruito negli anni ’50. Gli interni hanno un design straordinario e sono arredati con mobili originali del periodo.

Tasting experience e dj night

I piatti che si servono qui sono molto più sofisticati di quelli della caffetteria in v. de’ Neri, quindi questo ne fa un ottimo posto per la pausa pranzo in una zona  hot per lo shopping e per la sera; l’ambizione è diventare un punto di riferimento per la nightlife fiorentina, con la grande attenzione che mettono ai cocktail, senza contare che sono previste serate con dj set.
Durante la presentazione abbiamo potuto assaggiare alcune delle nuove proposte food. La tendenza è di offrire piccole porzioni di tutto quello che c’è sul menu , in modo che i clienti possano avere l’opportunità di assaggiare più piatti durante un unico pasto. Ma non lasciatevi confondere da questo dettaglio: non si tratta assolutamente di un ristorante di tapas, l’obiettivo è più il dare una tasting experience.
Credo di potervi assicurare sul fatto che questo articolo sia assolutamente onesto, dal momento che ho seguito le avventure di Francesco Sanapo relativamente al food e al caffè per un bel po’ di tempo – essendo io stessa un’amante del caffè, come ormai si è capito!
