Pitti Immagine Uomo in January 2010 was very interesting indeed. Apart from the events and collections, I think the most fascinating part was the mood.
A very unusual one.
A magic rètro road passing through ivy, gardens, boxeurs and sewing machines.
Clothes growing like flowers in an Avatar’s Pandora-like world.
The most appealing installation was PiQuadro’s stand. Bluish fluo lights all around in a dark space with apparently no walls, the products was just floating in front of you.
I found Urquiola’s installations a bit disappointing on the outside, kind of claustrophobic.
On the other hand Urquiola’s installations were just amazing in the inside. Rays of pure red enlighting in between the shapes and walls, essences with a life of their own. A new life in the every day spaces of the Fortezza da Basso.
You may have been served of red wine, heart shaped biscuits and fresh fruit. Definitely a juicy atmosphere, I guess.
I enjoyed visiting TieUps stand! I love sushi and I love colors! See how fashion can be yummy!
